Doctoral student specializing in photography, race, gender, and carcerality through Black feminist theory and archival studies.  My research examines Brazilian police archives from the post-emancipation era, focusing on how Black and marginalized women were visually portrayed and their efforts to refuse subjection and craft meaningful lives.
